Acerbi's foot stamp on Tonali
Though Milan struggled in the game, football is a game of tiny details, and one could have swung the advantage to the Rossoneri’s side.
According to Football Italia, in the 52nd minute of the game, Inter won a corner. While scrambling in the box, defender, Acerbi appeared to intentionally step on the foot of Tonali.
The Italian defender quickly apologised to his compatriot, but the look on his face suggested the stamp was more intentional than a mistake.
Mike Maignan and Fikayo Tomori approached the referee for more action.
The game was a proper Derby della Madonnina, with fouls flying in every corner. According to BT Sports, the game had more fouls than tackles.
