FootballThe incident was a dark day for local football, and some fans are unhappy with what happened.
Social media was abuzz with reactions about the incident, with some condemning Chiefs fans and others saying Zwane had it coming.
@SizweMbokodo:
“Not a nice scene. Unfortunately, in SA, that's almost the only way people express their displeasure. Management dismissed Baxter last season, citing protection from fans' anger. They could have done the same with Zwane. Fans' reaction was bound to happen.”
"I blame Zwane, but I can't blame Zwane alone. I blame the management. Kaizer Chiefs is too big for Arthur Zwane, you cannot coach Kaizer Chiefs with a security certificate."
@Tobisani1:
“Thuggish behaviour, shouldn't be happening in our beautiful game. Criminals need to be brought to book.”
@MissPalulu:
“This is hooliganism, supporters can be such a terrible bunch of people. And worse, this club’s supporters have never given any coach a fair chance in the past few years. These are just horrible scenes which must be condemned!”
