FootballBrighton Forward Reveals How Basketball GOAT Michael Jordan Inspired Win Over Arsenal
- Brighton dispatched pathetic Arsenal 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium to end their title hopes
- Roberto De Zerbi’s men put behind their embarrassing 5-1 loss to Everton in the midweek
- Brighton star Deniz Undav has revealed an unlikely source that inspired Albion to victory
Brighton ended Arsenal’s title hopes right in front of the Emirates fans yesterday with a dominant performance and a 3-0 win.
Both teams came into the game with different motivations. Arsenal had won two games on the bounce against Chelsea and Newcastle, while Brighton wanted to make amends for their 5-1 home loss to relegation-threatened Everton.
The first half of the encounter was cagey, with both sides being careful of each other, but the game was opened up in the second half by Paraguayan youngster Julio Enciso.
Enciso was injured and replaced by another youngster Deniz Undav, who doubled the lead within four minutes of coming on to all but end any chances of a fightback from Arsenal.

Ecuadorian full-back Pervis Estupinan, who was yellow carded earlier in the game, added icing to Roberto De Zerbi’s men with an additional time goal to make it three nil.
Undav reveals Brighton’s inspiration
Undav, 21, was elated after the game and expressed his joy that the team reacted well to bounce back from the embarrassing defeat in the midweek.
“We showed a good reaction after defeat by Everton. It was a big three points and we're happy we got the win,” he told Sky Sports.
He went ahead and revealed how their Italian manager used an unlikely source to motivate the players after the crushing defeat against the Toffees.
“The manager showed us a Michael Jordan video to show us how he motivated himself each game. He showed us after the defeat by Everton and I think it was the right choice to show us the video and we showed today how mentally strong we are,” he added.
Super Eagles star scores incredible goal as Everton's fight to escape relegation continues
FootballThe former Shakhtar Donetsk boss delivered on his promise after midweek’s game. He claimed the Gunners would see the real Brighton, and they did, as reported by The Argus.
Arsenal fans leave before full-time
Sports Brief previously reported that Arsenal fans left the stadium before the final whistle, and many got alerted of Estupinan’s goal outside the stadium.
The reaction was unexpected as the fans have stood behind the team this season, but it was understandable, considering the result ended their title aspirations.
