Lionel Messi has revealed he will forever cherish the memories he made with Sergio Busquets at Barcelona after the midfielder announced he will be leaving the club.
Busquets’ 18-year reign at Barcelona is set to come to an end after the Spanish midfielder revealed he will be leaving the Catalan club he joined as a 15-year-old boy at the end of the season.
According to PSG Talk, Messi who won the UEFA Champions League thrice with Busquets, wished the 34-year-old midfielder all the best in his career going forward.

“On the field always with the [No.] 5 but in reality, as a player and as a person, you are a 10, Busi,” Messi wrote. “I wish you the best in your new stage and always, both to you and to your entire family.
“Thank you for what’s on and off the field; there were so many moments we spent together, many good ones and some also complicated ones… They will remain forever!”
Busquets who has been Barcelona’s captain since the departure of Messi in 2021, announced via a Twitter video he will not renew his contract when it expires on June 30.
