Real Madrid legend Guti has revealed who should lead the club’s attack next season should the reigning La Liga champions sign Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain.

Mbappe is suddenly back on Real Madrid’s radar, with Los Blancos willing to shatter the current world record fee to sign the 24-year-old this summer.

According to Sportskeeda, Guti has now revealed Benzema should be dropped to the bench next season if Real Madrid are successful in their bid to sign Mbappe.

“If Mbappé comes to Real Madrid, I would put him in the place of Benzema.”

Mbappe snubbed a move to Real Madrid last season when he decided to pen a two-year contract extension with PSG, making him the highest-earning player in Europe.

The French forward is, however, now keen to move on following PSG’s underwhelming season, with Real Madrid proposed as the player’s preferred destination.

Meanwhile, Luis Figo has tipped Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema to win the 2023 Ballon d’Or award as he insists the Frenchman has had a good season, Daily Post reports.
