Chelsea ace, Andrey Santos has gone against the grain to wed his sweetheart, Yngryd Freire while wearing a pair of shorts.

While many would opt for designer suits during their wedding, Santos opted to turn up in something more relaxed for his big day.

According to The Sun, Santos recently tied the knot with his long-term partner, Freire in a glamorous ceremony in Brazil.

In photos widely shared on social media, the teenage sensation sported a pair of beige shorts, which he complemented with white trainers and a crisp white shirt for the sun-soaked ceremony.

On her part, Freire donned an elegant traditional white dress and heels combo for the most important day of their love life.

It is understood the two love birds were joined by smiling friends and family as they made their union official.

Santos later took to Instagram to share a photo from his wedding with the caption:

"You are very special to everyone, everyone is delighted with your way of being, at the beginning of our relationship, I was impressed with your beauty, your character, your humility, the way you treat your parents, and your good heart!"

Andrey Santos' career at Chelsea

Meanwhile, Santos' wedding came at a time he will be hoping to make a breakthrough at Stamford Bridge.

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea sealed the signing of him from Vaso Da Gama during the January transfer window.

At the time, he became the Blues' January arrival after they confirmed the £35 million signing of Monaco defender, Benoit Badiashile and David Datro Fofana from Molde.

However, Santos was shipped back to Vasco Da Gama on loan for the remainder of the 2022/23 season.
