People of Naples on Thursday night, 4 May, stormed the streets to celebrate Napoli's Serie A win after 33 years thanks to their 1-1 draw away at Udinese with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen netting the important goal.
It was an adorable moment for all Napoli faithful to see their players making them proud by winning the title even though they have five more games to play this season.
Going into the game at Udinese, Osimhen and his teammates knew that a win or draw was what they needed for them to record their names in the history books, and they got a point.
When did Napoli score?
Udinese opened scoring in the 13th minute through Sandi Lovric and they took the 1-0 lead into the dressing room after the first half.
Napoli began the second half stronger according to the report on Punch, and they waited till the 52nd minute before Osimhen restored parity for them.
The encounter eventually ended 1-1.
According to the videos spotted on Twitter, Napoli fans were spotted celebrating with fireworks with some moving around the streets.
Napoli fans will now be waiting for their players.
Meanwhile, Napoli Chiefs might be losing Osimhen at the end of the season.
Osimhen breaks Serie A record
Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Victor Osimhen has helped Napoli to become Serie A champions for the first time in 33 years, through his equalising goal against Udinese in the second half.
The Nigerian powered home a shot through the crowd after a scramble from a corner kick, to help Napoli hold on and seal the Italian league title away from home.
Neapolitans put everything in place for a party at home last Sunday against Salernitana, but the team fell short of victory despite Inter Milan beating Lazio 3-1.
