FootballFrank Lampard Appears to Suggest Joao Felix Does Not Know Where He Wants to Play
- Joao Felix joined Chelsea on loan from Atletico Madrid in the January transfer window
- He has not quite impressed enough for the deal to be made permanent in the summer
- Frank Lampard may have delivered a blow to his chances of staying in London with recent comments
Frank Lampard may have delivered a blow to Joao Felix's chances of sealing a permanent transfer to West London with his recent assessment of the Portuguese international.
Joao Felix was an unused substitute as Chelsea succumbed to a 3-1 defeat to rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium, their sixth straight loss under caretaker manager Lampard.
The loss left the Blues nine points above the relegation zone with five games left to play - two against clubs below them - Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest and three against clubs in the top four - Manchester United, City and Newcastle.
According to FIFA, Felix was signed on loan in January for €11m, and Chelsea covered his full wages to help the club's fortunes, but it appears he is done for the season.

Lampard's brutal assessment of Felix
The 23-year-old has struggled for minutes since the return of Frank Lampard, starting only one game against Real Madrid which he produced a dismal performance.
The club legend was quizzed on why he failed to start the Atletico Madrid man against Arsenal, and his response reiterated the same problems from before.
“He has a huge talent. I really need to find a clear structure. He's not definite if you ask him where he wants to play. Maybe he's not a 9, I need a 9 for the way I want to play. Whatever his future is, I don't know that.” told Sky Sports.

Fans want Felix's loan cancelled
Sports Brief reported that Chelsea fans wanted Felix's loan cancelled after his abysmal display against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
He started in a two-man attack alongside Kai Havertz, and the two failed to impact the game. The fans are unimpressed, and with Atletico Madrid's asking price for a permanent transfer.
