After Harry Kane pulled one back in the first half, goals from Heung-Min Son and Richarlison seemed to hint Ryan Mason's side would claw to another draw.
However, the drama was not over as Diogo Jota capitalised on a defensive lapse from Tottenham with seconds to go, to score from a tight angle.
The goal sent the Liverpool technical area into a state of celebration, with Klopp making a brief sprint before stopping in his tracks and clutching his hamstring.
Despite the injury, Klopp still earned himself a yellow card as he made his way to fourth official, John Brooks, getting in his face.
After the game, the German manager was asked about the injury, and he said, as per ThisisAnfield.com:
“I’m not sure it’s a hamstring. It could be an adductor as well. It’s painful.”
The Liverpool boss was also quick to admit his celebration was unnecessary.
