- The two played against each other for three years during Ronaldo's time at Juventus
- Koulibaly secured a move to Chelsea in the summer after eight years at Napoli
Kalidou Koulibaly has named Cristiano Ronaldo the toughest opponent he has faced in his career and revealed what makes it very difficult to play against him.
Ronaldo spent three years at Juventus and played against Koulibaly and Napoli a couple of times, enough for the centre-back to have an opinion of him.
The Portuguese left Juventus and returned to England with Manchester United in 2021 before the Senegalese also moved to Chelsea last summer.
The two could have met again last October when Chelsea and United locked horns. However, Koulibaly was injured, and Erik Ten Hag suspended Ronaldo after walking out of Tottenham game a week before, as reported by Sky Sports.

Koulibaly names Ronaldo toughest opponent
Ronaldo, who currently plies his trade in Saudi Arabia with Al-Nassr, has been a defender's nightmare for years due to his speed, physicality and quick feet.
The former Napoli man was one of the most consistent defenders in Europe during his time in Italy but admitted the five-time Ballon d'Or winner gave him a tough time.
''Ronaldo, it's very difficult to play against him,'' he told Goal. ''Because sometimes, you don't see him for a few minutes. You think that's okay; that's a good game. But after he comes out from his place, and he scores.
''So, it's the hardest thing with him; you have to be aware every minute. Because, otherwise he will score. You won't know how he will do it, but he will do it the same.''
