According to Metro UK, Walcott was part of the Saints' squad, which forced the league leaders to a 3-3 epic draw on Friday night at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal seemed to be in full control of the title race after an incredible run of form and results under Mikel Arteta.

However, the north Londoners have hit a rough patch in recent days, with the side dropping crucial points in three of their most recent fixtures.

Arsenal were hoping to return to winning ways against Southampton when they faced off, only to drop points once again.

The draw left them in danger of missing out on the title with Man City breathing down their necks.

Walcott makes Arsenal admission

Despite that reality, Walcott still contends that Arsenal are the best team in the Premier League.

According to the 34-year-old, his former side are way better than the reigning English champions.

"Arsenal are just incredible. We played Man City the other week, and I thought Arsenal were way better than them," Walcott told NBS Sport.
"That’s how I see Arsenal at the moment. We can take a lot of positives from this game because they [Arsenal] are the best team in this league at this moment in time," he added.

Haaland appears to troll Arsenal

In news related to Arsenal's draw with West Ham, Sports Brief reported on Erling Haaland’s reaction on social media to the match's result.

The Norwegian posted a photo of himself on Twitter moments after the cracker with the caption 'Mood', in what is clearly a dig at the rival team.
