Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Anthony Barry has left his post at Chelsea, to join his coaching staff as an assistant coach at Bayern Munich.
Barry, a set-piece specialist, had worked with Tuchel during the German’s time in charge of the Blues with both men leading Chelsea to their second Champions League trophy in 2021.
According to Bulinews, Tuchel confirmed he has wanted Barry to join him at Bayern Munich immediately after he took over the reins at the club, following the sudden sacking of Julian Nagelsmann.
The highly-rated coach had to postpone his move to Germany while Bayern and Chelsea awaited the results of their respective Champions League last-eight ties, as they stood a chance of facing each other in the semi-finals.

After getting knocked out by Real Madrid and the Bavarians also failing to reach the semi-finals, the Blues have reportedly finally decided to let Barry go.
Bayern to pay Chelsea £1m
Meanwhile, Chelsea are to receive a whopping £1 million compensation fee from Bayern Munich after letting set-piece manager, Barry link up with Tuchel, the Evening Standard reports.
The Blues had been adamant about not releasing Barry, who has been a vital member of the technical team for three years since joining the Premier League club.
Barry was brought to Chelsea by Frank Lampard in 2020 and worked under his successors, Tuchel and Potter after the Blues legend was shown the doorwhen the Blues legend was fired.
