Thirty-two of the 47 goals have come in the Premier League, with the 22-year-old nine goals clear of Harry Kane in the Golden Boot race.

Haaland's preferred ex-Man Cty stars

The former Borussia Dortmund ace was recently asked to name a former Man City star he would have loved to play alongside in the current squad.

The Norway international singled out two ex-City stars for the role, with club legend Vincent Kompany and fan favourite Mario Balotelli finding a place in Haaland's dream team.

“I think I would have to say either [Vincent] Kompany, big legend,” Haaland told Man City TikTok via Sportbible.
“I think it would also be fun to play with [Mario] Balotelli. So, one of these two: Balotelli or Kompany would be really nice," he added.

Haaland hits new milestone

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Erling Haaland continued with his fine goalscoring form after he bagged a first-half brace against Leicester City on April 15.

The Manchester City striker scored from the penalty spot before chipping the ball over Daniel Iversen to add to John Stones' early opener.

Haaland's goals took him to 32 goals for the campaign, equalling Mohamed Salah's best season goal tally that he set in the 2017/2018 season.

Salah has arguably been the most prolific scorer in the past decade, alongside Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane.

The Egyptian's record of 32 goals is the most number of goals scored by a player in a single Premier League season.
