Ghanaian midfielder Majeed Ashimeru scored a sensational goal to round up a dominant performance from Anderlecht in their Europa Conference League quarter-final first-leg against AZ Alkmaar.
The Black Stars midfielder stylishly controlled a beautiful cross from compatriot Francis Amuzu before firing from the edge of the box to hand the Belgium giants a 2-0 win at the Lotto Park.
The hosts had opened the scoring in the first-half through Michael Amir Murillo after receiving a fine pass from Anders Dreyer.
Ashimeru was scoring his first-ever goal in a European competition since moving abroad, where he has played for Red Salzburg and now Anderlecht.

The midfielder has been in fantastic form for the Purple and Whites in the ongoing campaign, making 39 appearances across all competitions. Ashimeru has scored three goals in the current season.
He is expected to play a vital role for the club as Anderlecht chase a European place finish in the Belgium league.
Meanwhile, the former Belgium champions will travel to the Netherlands next week for the second leg of the Europa Conference League game.
