Former Ghana midfielder Michael Essien was at the Santiago Bernabeu to watch two of his former clubs, Real Madrid and Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals.
The 40-year-old witnessed the European champions Real Madrid ease past ten-man Chelsea after a dominant performance.
Karim Benzema and Marco Asensio scored on opposite sides of half-time to ensure Real Madrid travel to London next week with the advantage.

Essien spent a brief spell on loan at Real Madrid during Jose Mourinho's time as manager of Los Blancos.
However, the ex-Ghana international spent most of his career at Chelsea and was successful with the Blues, winning the 2012 UEFA Champions League.
He later left for AC Milan in Italy before spells in Greece, Indonesia and Azerbaijan with Panathinaikos, Persib Bandung and Sabail FK respectively.
These days Essien is involved in managerial work, serving as an assistant coach at Danish outfit FC Nordsjaelland.
Real Madrid will travel for the second-leg of the UEFA Champions League game next week.
