Chukwueze’s current contract with Villarreal expires in 2024 and the club could make an announcement about his situation soon.

It is believed he has a buyout clause of €100 million in his current deal but his current club would reportedly be willing to accept half of that amount at the end of the season, according to GOAL.

Chukwueze vows to improve

Meanwhile, Chukwueze says he will keep improving his match performances, following his fantastic brace against Real Madrid recently.

The Nigerian superstar also made history to become only the second Villarreal player after Diego Forlan to score a brace at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Sports Brief reported on the Super Eagles star saying the goals he scored against Real Madrid will only boost his morale going into subsequent games.

Why Chukwueze turned Arsenal down

Sports Brief also reported on Nigerian international, Chukwueze revealing talks with Arsenal about a move shortly after the 2015 FIFA U17 World Cup.

The Villarreal star stated the potential deal to join the Premier League leaders fell away as they could not come to an agreement with his academy.

The winger was part of the Golden Eaglets squad that conquered the world in Chile, scoring three goals at the tournament to win himsef the Bronze Ball.
