  • Leandro Paredes has not been heavily utilised by Juventus since he joined the club last summer on loan
  • It is understood that the midfielder is unhappy with the situation and decided to confront Max Allegri about it
  • Reports suggest Paredes is likely to return to his parent club Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season, with Juve unlikely to make his deal permanent

Tension has gripped the Juventus camp after manager Mx Allegri reportedly clashed with Leandro Paredes during a training session.

Paredes, who joined Juventus in the summer of 2022 on a season long-deal from Paris Saint-Germain, has endured a tumultuous spell in Turin.

The midfielder has been unable to break into Allegri's first team, with the Juve boss often overlooking him.

According to Football Italia, this was the basis of a heated argument between Paredes and Allegri during a recent training session.

Allegri, Paredes clash

Goal citing Fabiana della Valle, reports that Paredes did not look happy when the team returned to the dressing room after completing their morning training session on Monday, April 10.

The midfielder is said to have been involved in a heated argument with Allegri shortly after, as he expressed his discontent over his lack of playing time.

The PSG ace subsequently declined to join the rest of the team for lunch.

Juventus were given the option of making Parades' deal permanent at the end of the season.

However, that now seems unlikely, with the Serie A giants reportedly looking in the direction of Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi in their bid to strengthen their midfield.

Lukaku's big Serie A miss

Sports Brief previously reported on Lukaku producing another embarrassing miss after he failed to find the back of the net from close range during a Serie A match this month.

The Inter Milan striker was thrown in from the start as Fiorentina came visiting at the San Siro on April 1. He lasted the entire 90 minutes as Inzaghi's men fell to a 1-0 defeat.

Perhaps the scoreline would have been different had the Chelsea loanee scored, after Alessandro Bastoni squared a pass ball to the Belgian with only the empty net in his way.
