- The Ivorian only recently returned to full fitness after a long injury layoff
In life, one has to be scared of something. No matter how energetic or powerful you are, someone often has something he or she is scared of that others might term as 'flimsy.'
Personally, I won't go anywhere near frogs, but luckily for me, we are not here to talk about me. For West Ham United's winger, Maxwel Cornet, dogs seemingly scare the hell out of him, if a video doing rounds on social media is anything to go by.
Cornet was filmed running for his life as a dog pursued him outside West Ham's training ground. In the video uploaded by his teammate Thilo Kehrer, Cornet seemed to keep a safe distance from the rest of the group, who were in the company of a grey big hound.
As dogs often are, it quickly took cognizance of Cornet's fear and decided to put his sprinting skills to test. The dog, named Shadow, took full advantage that it wasn't leashed and went after Cornet.

Requiring no second invitation to save himself, Cornet dashed towards the door as his teammates burst into a fit of laughter. As soon as he reached the door, Shadow seemingly changed his intentions and left the Ivorian winger alone.
The video by Keher garnered massive reactions, with skipper Declan Rice leading the onslaught with laughing emojis.
West Ham relegation woes
This comes at a time when David Moyes' side has fallen off the lofty standards they set for themselves last year. The Hammers are battling relegation with less than 10 games to go.

FootballThey sit in 14th place with 30 points, three from the relegation places. They still have fixtures against Arsenal, the Manchester clubs and Liverpool. They are also in the UEFA Conference League quarterfinals, where they play Belgian opposition, KAA Gent.
Cornet will be hoping to turn his traumatising experience into good luck as West Ham angles to avoid relegation and win a European trophy.
Dog eats fans ticket

Like any other Magpies fan, Alan Carling was ready and raring to support Howe's charges in person on February 26, but his pet made sure he never really got a chance.
To make matters worse, he was at St. James Park to watch Newcastle record a first home defeat of the season and Nick Pope was red carded to miss the cup final.
