According to Sporting News, Ancelotti enjoyed a modest playing career with the Rossoneri but enjoyed an even more spectacular coaching stint with the Italian giants, where he won eight trophies, including two Champions League titles.

At Madrid, the Italian has scooped seven titles across two spells. He further embellished his coaching credentials when he became the first manager to win all of Europe's top five leagues with Los Blancos.

When asked to pick between the two European giants, Ancelotti diplomatically split his love for AC Milan and Real Madrid.

"Both, 50-50. They are the two clubs I am closest to. Milan because I played there, Real Madrid because it represents the pinnacle in the world of football," he said as quoted by MadridXtra.

Ancelotti will not coach Barca

Meanwhile, Ancelotti ruled out the possibility of ever coaching sworn Spanish rivals, FC Barcelona.

The manager has been in the dugout for Europe's top clubs across Germany, England, Italy, Spain, and France.

Having coached at clubs like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Milan, the only big name missing is Barcelona.

Carlo speaks on Brazil rumours

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Ancelotti being flattered by interest from the Brazilian Football Confederation but claiming his focus is La Liga.

The Italian manager has been repeatedly linked with the Seleção in recent months as his future at the helm of Los Blancos remaining in doubt.

Real Madrid trail Barcelona by 12 points in the race for the La Liga title but are still in the running for the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.
