Despite the doubts over his future in Spain, the Italian remains focused on his current role as Madrid's boss.

While preparing for their upcoming fixture against Real Valladolid, Ancelotti touched on the links to the Seleção, Marca reported.

"I love it, of course, it's exciting. But you have to respect contracts and I want to honour them," Ancelotti said, as he once again reiterated his commitment to Madrid.
"I'm not surprised by the rumours. And they don't worry me. The only thing I'm thinking about is staying at this club for as long as I'm here. Everything else is quite clear: I will continue as long as Madrid allows me to," he added.

Ancelotti continued that Madrid were still in the running for titles, and that was the focus of the club going forward.

April could be a crunch month for Ancelotti and company as the La Liga champions are scheduled to play a total of nine games.

The fixtures include six La Liga games, two Champions League games against Chelsea and the Copa del Rey second-leg fixture against Barcelona. Barca won the first leg 1-0.

Brazil confirm Ancelotti interest

Carlo Ancelotti is everyone's favourite to take charge of South American giants Brazil.

The Brazilian Football Confederation president Ednaldo Rodrigues confirmed that the Italian manager was their preferred candidate, Sports Brief reported.

The managerial post became vacant after Tite stepped down following Brazil's disappointing World Cup campaign.
