Marcus Rashford is currently attracting a lot of interest from Europe’s top clubs.

The Manchester United attacker is enjoying an impressive season in the English Premier League and is turning heads as a result.

While clubs are now sitting up and taking notice of the forward’s potential, Dutch legend Patrick Kluivert always saw something special in the youngster.

As reported by The Mirror, Kluivert previously urged Barcelona to sign the youngster. The former Barcelona player advised the club to sign Rashford in 2019, as a replacement for Luiz Suarez. Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar were doing wonders for the Spanish side, but the Catalan giants were looking to part ways with the Uruguayan.

"I like Marcus Rashford, a lot. It will be really difficult to get him over. But he is a good player. I don't see a lot of players who can play in Barcelona. Maybe some players who can play in LaLiga, are young players. But, for me, I think the best one is Marcus Rashford."

Barcelona didn’t take Kluivert’s advice and have struggled to find that same attacking threat since Messi, Neymar and Suarez left the club. The club have failed to reach the same attacking heights and only have Robert Lewandowski as an out-and-out striker.

Current Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez considers the United star one of the most dangerous players in Europe, and it would be no surprise if the club try and sign him this time around.

Manchester United have reportedly slapped a €130 million price tag on forward Marcus Rashford.
