  • After the tie, Tuchel stated Jamal Musiala was responsible for Bayern's loss

Bayern Munich boss, Thomas Tuchel has hit out at Jamal Musiala for giving away the winning penalty to SC Freiburg in their German Cup encounter.

France defender, Dayout Upamecano opened the scoring in the 19th minute but the lead was cancelled out by Nicolas Hofler eight minutes later.

Freiburg grabbed a last-gasp winner courtesy of a Lucas Holer strike that saw the German champions crash out of the DFB-Pokal.

Musiala handled the ball inside his own box in the 93rd minute with the score still tied at 1-1. Holer easily scored the ensuing penalty kick.

Tuchel expressed his rage over the 20-year-old's careless mistake following the game.

"Nowadays, you can't jump in like that in the sixteen. You just can't do that. You're taking a crazy risk," the Bayern coach said to Sky Sports, via GOAL.

Tuchel was livid not only with Musiala but also with his other defenders, who failed to clear their lines at such a crucial juncture.

"We lost two headers before that in the box, in the last minute. You have to put your body in there, be more stable, be tougher. Two header duels, a first ball, second ball, third ball - that's too much in the box in the last minute. It's easy," he added.

Tuchel block Liverpool's key target

Meanwhile, Tuchel is apparently set to block Liverpool from signing Bayern Munich youngster, Ryan Gravenberch in the summer, The Sun reports.

Gravenberch is reportedly a £25 million target for the Reds but the Bavarians' boss wants to give all his players a chance to prove themselves.

With the likes of James Milner, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain out of deals this season, the Reds are reportedly looking for a midfielder.

Musiala destroys Nuno Mendes

Sports Brief also reported on Musiala's stunning piece of skill as Bayern Munich ran out winners on Tuesday night against Paris Saint-Germain.

The German youngster was not quite on form against the French champions in the last 16 of the Champions League at the Parc des Princes.

However, there was enough in Musiala's tank to help the Bavarians record a vital 1-0 victory against Les Parisiens away from home.
