  • Manchester United could offload several big-name players in the summer
  • Erik ten Hag has reportedly urged the club’s bosses to sell off the 'surplus'
  • Among the superstars who could leave is a figure struggling for game time

Several big names at Manchester United have their future in danger, as Erik ten Hag reportedly plots a mass clear-out at the club in the summer.

The Red Devils are reportedly keen on more outgoings than incomings in the summer and among those on the chopping block is embattled defender, Harry Maguire.

According to Manchester Evening News, United will also listen to offers for back-up goalkeeper, Dean Henderson.

Brandon Williams, Alex Telles, and Anthony Martial will also be made available in the summer as will Eric Bailly, who is currently on loan at French club, Marseille.

The highly-rated Jadon Sancho is also walking on thin ice, as ten Hag is reportedly growing impatient with the Englishman’s inconsistency.

According to stats on Transfermkt, Sancho has made just five starts in the last five months as a combination of poor form and injuries have hindered his progress at Old Trafford.

United hunt for new striker

United are also in the hunt for a new striker, with Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane upon their radar as a preferred target.

Wout Weghorst is unlikely to continue his spell at Old Trafford when his loan deal comes to an end, while Martial has proven to be unreliable due to his injuries.

The fact that the Red Devils are goalless in their last three Premier League games since winning the Carabao Cup further brings forth the need for a prolific forward.

United lost 7-0 to Liverpool before enduring a goalless draw against Southampton. That was followed by a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United after the international break.

Following that run of form, the Red Devils sit fifth on the log, level on points with Spurs who have played two games more.

There is some work to be done if they still want a top four finish.

Supercomputer predicts final EPL table

Elsewhere, Sports Brief reported on the predictions for the EPL table at the end of the season.

There are only nine games left to go, with all the 20 teams keen to end the campaign on a high.

Going by the weekend results, a supercomputer has calculated which team will claim the title.
