Approximately half of the 20 managers that began the 2022–23 Premier League season have been shown the exit door in what has been an absolutely ruthless season for managers.
A staggering 12 managers have been fired this season, with 10 of them starting the year as the head coach.
According to GOAL, a new record has been set for the most sackings in a Premier League season following Graham Potter's sack at Chelsea.

1. Scott Parker - Bournemouth
The former England international became the first managerial casualty of the ongoing 2022-23 campaign when he was shown the exit door at Bournemouth on August 30, 2022.
2. Thomas Tuchel - Chelsea
A month later, renowned German tactician Thomas Tuchel was fired by the new Chelsea owners led by Todd Boehly.
The 49-year-old, who is currently with Bayern Munich, was sacked 15 months into the job.
3. Bruno Lage - Wolverhampton Wanderers
Next on the axing list was Bruno Lage, who was axed in October.
After a terrible stretch in which Wolves won only one of their previous 15 Premier League games, Bruno Lage was sacked.
4. Steven Gerrard - Aston Villa
The Liverpool legend faced the sack following a 3-0 defeat to Fulham.
He replaced Dean Smith at Villa Park in November 2021 but lasted less than a year with a win rate of 25.8 per cent, per Sky Sports.

Football5. Ralph Hasenhuttl - Southampton
Following Southampton's 4-1 home loss to Newcastle United on November 6, 2022, Ralph saw his time at Southampton come to a crashing end.
Prior to Hasenhuttl's sack, the Saints had won only two of their previous 11 league games and were two points from the bottom of the standings.
6. Jesse Marsch - Leeds United
ESPN reports that Marsch was named as Leeds' head coach in February 2022, making him the third American to hold that position in England's top flight.
Jesse helped the club avoid relegation on the final day of the 2021-22 campaign with a last-gasp win at Brentford but was relieved of his duties early this year after a run of poor results.
7. Frank Lampard - Everton
Frank Lampard was fired by Everton a few days before his one-year anniversary due to the team's dismal form. He was sacked after a winless run that saw the Toffees drop to 19th in the Premier League.

On February 12, 2023, a day after Southampton's 2-1 home loss to 10-man Wolves, Nathan's tumultuous three-month tenure as Hasenhuttl's successor came to an end when he was sacked by the club.
The former Luton Town manager presided over eight losses in nine Premier League games.
9. Patrick Vieira - Crystal Palace
The ex-Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder was fired by Crystal Palace on March 17, 2023, paying the price for the Eagles' failure to win any of their 13 games under his leadership in 2023 across all competitions.
10. Antonio Conte - Tottenham Hotspur
After managing Tottenham for 16 months, Antonio Conte left the club by mutual consent.
Initially stemming the tide, Conte, a serial winner, saw his slip to a poor run with nine losses, four draws, and 28 league games played before departing the north London club.
11. Brendan Rodgers - Leicester City
Graham Potter: Chelsea manager sacked by Boehly after Stamford Bridge loss to Aston Villa
FootballBrendan Rogers' four-year reign at Leicester came to an end on April 2 after a defeat to Crystal Palace.
The Foxes dropped to 18th in the Premier League table following a horrid run of results in recent months.
12. Graham Potter - Chelsea
Then just hours after Rodgers was sent packing, Chelsea severed ties with Graham Potter.
The former Brighton manager lasted just seven months in the job at Stamford Bridge.
