"We are going to have faith in God, wait for the right moment and see if we can make it happen as we look for the new coach of the Brazilian national team," Ednaldo said as quoted by MARCA.
"Ancelotti is unanimously respected among the players. Not just Ronaldo Nazario or Vinicius Jr, but everyone who has played for him. I really admire his honesty in how he works and how consistent he is."
"He needs no introduction. He is a top coach with several achievements and hopefully, he can have even more."

Despite speaking highly of the Italian, Rodrigues said Brazil must be careful to respect the due process as Ancelotti is under contract with Real Madrid until 2024.

"We will be very ethical in our approach and respect existing contracts," he said.

Rodrigues also added there is a clamour by the larger Brazilian populace for a better tactical organization in a coach of Ancelotti's calibre.

"Ancelotti is unanimously respected by the players. Wherever I go in Brazil, in every stadium, he is the coach our fans want the most."

Meanwhile, Brazil recently stumbled to an unexpected defeat under caretaker boss Ramon Menezes against Morocco. The 2-1 loss against the Atlas Lions on Saturday evening adds to the woes of Brazil.
