Former Ghana captain, Asamoah Gyan has jumped to the defence of misfiring forward Inaki Williams.
The Spain-born Ghanaian forward had another difficult game as the Black Stars laboured to a hard-fought win against Angola.
Williams was replaced in the 70th minute by match-winner Antoine Semenyo.
The Athletic Bilbao star has not scored in seven matches for the Black Stars despite starting all competitive games since switching nationality.

"It's very difficult to adjust to the African game, He has played in Europe all his life," Gyan told Kumasi-based Akoma FM, as quoted by Footballghana.com.

Football"We need to give him more opportunities, he is improving even though he hasn't found his feet yet but I'm sure his first goal will open the floodgates and many more will follow.
"His first goal will boost his confidence level. Let's keep supporting him."
The Black Stars travel to Luanda this weekend for the second leg of the game against Angola in Monday night.
Williams is expected to start as Ghana needs a victory to seal qualification to next year's Africa Cup of Nations.
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Antoine Semenyo finally met his idol, Asamoah Gyan after scoring the winner in the game between Ghana and Angola in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The Bournemouth forward came on in the second half to smash home the winner late in injury time, as the Black Stars collected all three points.

The Black Meteors are preparing for the double-header against Algeria in the final round of qualifiers for the tournament to be hosted in Morocco.
Ghana will travel to Algiers for the first leg on March 24, before hosting the North Africans in Kumasi four days later.
