Manchester City goalkeeper, Ederson may have leaked who the next head coach of the Brazil national team would be after his press conference while on international duty.

The Selecao have been without a coach since Tite left his role after the 2022 World Cup, following the five-time world champions' elimination in the quarter-final at the hands of Croatia.

The Samba Boys were overwhelming favourites going into the tournament but it was their South American rivals, Argentina who lifted the trophy in Qatar.

Did Ederson reveal Brazil coach?

The Citizens' goalkeeper, Ederson dropped a hint that the Italian manager would be next to take on the role while speaking at a press conference, as reported by SportBible.

''I was discussing this with Casemiro, Vinicius Junior, and [Eder] Militao. There is a big possibility that he will come."
''We will try to eliminate Real Madrid so that Ancelotti can come to Brazil as quickly as possible!'' Ederson commented.

Ancelotti's future at Madrid continues to be threatened after losing El Clasico at the weekend, allowing Barcelona to go 12 points clear at the top of the La Liga table.

It is believed he could be sacked in short order if Los Blancos are eliminated from the Champions League by Chelsea next month.

The Premier League goalkeeper admired the former Chelsea boss' impressive career and admitted it is only a matter of time before things are clear on who their next coach is.

''I hope we can have a new coach quickly. I feel the anticipation too, because there's too much speculation. Is it a Brazilian or a foreign coach? We are also living that phase of anxiety,'' he concluded.

U20 coach, Ramon Menezes - who led the youth team to the South U20 championship in January - will oversee the game against Morocco on Saturday.

Fans want Ancelotti sacked

Sports Brief also reported on Real Madrid fans wanting Ancelotti sacked after the loss to Barcelona in El Clasico recently.

The Italian led Los Blancos to a treble last season, winning the Champions League and La Liga in his second spell as coach.

However, Real Madrid is notorious for having a low tolerance for poor results regardless of a manager's track record.
