Victor Osimhen has been doing excellently well this season for Napoli in the Serie A getting them goals. However, not many knew that the 24-year-old started his career as a goalkeeper.
The Nigerian striker made this revelation while answering questions in a video interview where he made it clear that he was a goalie when he was young.
Osimhen also revealed that there was even a tournament where he saved two penalties for his youth team in the semi-final of a tournament.
According to a video spotted on Twitter, Osimhen explained that he later stopped keeping and then became a defender before he became a striker.

''I actually started as a goalkeeper for the youth team and there was a time they took us to a tournament and I caught two penalties which helped my team.
''After I stopped keeping, I later became a defender before becoming a striker.''

Osimhen after registering 21 goals for Napoli this term is the one topping the goal scoring chart.
The former Lille star is also expected to lead the attack for the Super Eagles in their double header against Guinea Bissau.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles legend, Jay-Jay Okocha showered encomiums on Osimhen, saying he has been impressed with the Nigerian striker's performances this season.
