FC Koln winger, Kingsley Schindler has been handed a Black Stars invite following injury to Brighton & Hove Albion defender, Tariq Lamptey.
The German-born player will be making his international debut for Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola.
Schindler arrived in Ghana on Monday and trained with his teammates as preparations started for Thursday's game.
The former Holstein Kiel player is enjoying a decent campaign in the Bundesliga, having made 20 appearances for Koln this season.

Lamptey suffered a knock during Brighton's 4-0 thrashing of West Ham early this month. He joins Alidu Seidu, Elisha Owusu, Daniel-Kofi Kyereh and Baba Rahman as players missing the squad due to injury.
Seventeen players including captain Andre Ayew and Inaki Williams trained with the team on Monday.
The Black Stars will host the Palancas Negras in Kumasi on Thursday for the first leg of the double header. The team will then travel to Luanda four days later for the second leg.
The four-times African champions will secure qualification if they collect all six points from the two games.
De Zerbi gives Lamptey update
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana defender Tariq Lamptey could make a return from injury before the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola later this month.
The Brighton & Hove Albion right-back limped off during the game against West Ham on Saturday and had to be replaced by Joel Veltman after 16 minutes.

New coach of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton held his first training with the team as preparations begin for the upcoming AFCON qualifier against Angola.
A handful of players including captain, Andre Ayew reported to training on Monday with the rest of the team expected later this week.
Hughton had the available players go through rigorous drills as they maintain their sharpness ahead of Thursday's encounter.
