Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that forward Karim Benzema will be fit to face Liverpool in the Champions League next week.
Benzema has been dogged by fitness issues this season and has been ruled out of Madrid's league game against Espanyol on Saturday with an ankle injury.
The 35-year-old picked up an ankle injury that forced him to miss Real Madrid’s training sessions on Wednesday and Thursday.
But the Frenchman is expected to feature against Liverpool in Spain on Wednesday, 15th March, in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 encounter.

Los Blancos are currently nine points adrift of leaders Barcelona in La Liga, making retaining the Champions League their priority for the remainder of the season.
Benzema netted a brace against the Reds as Real Madrid took a massive advantage in the first leg after earning a remarkable 5-2 victory at Anfield.
"Karim received a kick on the ankle which has swollen up. He tried to recover to be available (for Saturday's fixture) but this was not possible," Ancelotti told a press conference, via Daily Mail.
"We aim to have him in top form for Wednesday", he added.
Benzema has made 15 appearances out of the 24 games Real Madrid have played in the Spanish topflight owing to several niggling injuries.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid are monitoring Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison as an option to reinforce the the club’s attack in the summer following the major injuries suffered by Karim Benzema, Madrid Universal reports.
The Brazilian international has been on the agenda at Real Madrid ever since Carlo Ancelotti took over the reins of the club in 2021.
Richarlison has had a difficult time at Tottenham, having had to compete with Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski for playing time.
