In a game that could directly impact who wins the Saudi top flight this season, the 38-year-old was expected to weave his magic but was left feeding on crumbs, per Mirror.

It was the second game in a row Ronaldo failed to find the back of the net after he was crowned the Most Valuable Player in February, where he racked up eight goals in four matches.

How did Ronaldo react?

The former Manchester United talisman is renowned for his strong dislike for defeats, and hence came as no surprise he cut a frustrated figure after the game.

In a video making the rounds on social media, seen by Sports Brief, Ronaldo was filmed shaking his head in disappointment as a teammate tried to console him.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner then unleashed his anger on a cluster of bottles as he approached the touchline.

Here is the video:

Ronaldo's first league defeat

Cristiano Ronaldo tasted his first Saudi Pro League defeat since joining Al-Nassr after his side suffered a painful one-nil defeat at Al-Ittihad.

The 38-year-old had a near-perfect record since swapping Europe for the Middle East until he was given a reality check by Nuno Espirito's side on Thursday evening.

In what was a top-of-the-table clash, Brazilian forward Romarinho's second-half strike proved the difference between the two top-performing sides in the Saudi top flight.

Disappointed Ronaldo speaks

Sports Brief previously reported that Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed disappointment on the back of Al-Nassr's defeat to Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo's Al-Nassr were pipped by a Romarinho second-half strike as Al-Ittihad grabbed the bragging rights and, most importantly, all three points in the crunch fixture.

According to Mirror, the narrow defeat means Ittihad leapfrogs Al-Nassr to assume the top spot in the Saudi top flight with ten games left in the season.
