Victor Osimhen has named Chelsea legend Didier Drogba as his idol while growing up with the Nigerian striker claiming that he learnt many things from the former Ivorian footballer.
During his active playing days, Drogba was rated as one of the best strikers in the world considering his excellent ways of scoring goals both for club and the national team.
He was one of the greatest striker to have ever played in the Premier League as he helped the Blues to win many titles before he left.
While speaking after receiving his award as the best foreign athlete in Italy, Osimhen explained that he used to watch Drogba' games stressing that the Ivorian styles have really helped him.

Statement made by Osimhen
“I grew up watching Didier Drogba. I was advised by one of my big brothers to try to watch and learn one or two things from him, and also add to my game.
“And ever since I have chosen Didier Drogba as my role model, it’s been really helpful for me.”

The report added that Osimhen is Napoli’s second-highest earner with a salary of €104,808 (N51m) weekly and €419,232 (N204m) monthly. In total, he earns €5m (N2.5bn) annually at the title-chasing Italian side.
