Chelsea who are Premier League giants are reportedly ready to break the bank for the signing of Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen who is doing wonders this season at Napoli.

The Nigerian has put himself in the limelight of the world after netting 19 league goals this season and he is still roaring like lion to get more for the Serie A leaders.

Already, Manchester United and Spurs are said to be monitoring Osimhen, but the Blues want to beat these two sides and other interested in the Nigerian.

According to the report on Hitc, the Blues' owner Boehly is keen to break the bank once again to sign the Nigerian striker.

Chelsea to double Osimhen's wages

The report added that Osimhen is Napoli’s second-highest earner with a salary of €104,808 (N51m) weekly and €419,232 (N204m) monthly. In total, he earns €5m (N2.5bn) annually at the title-chasing Italian side.

The Stamford Bridge landlords are now ready to double this amount so as for them to have Osimhen.

Meanwhile, Osimhen is expected to lead the Super Eagles attack in their coming African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Osimhen wins Stampa Estera’s award

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen landed a prestigious award after being named as Stampa Estera's best foreign athlete in Italy considering his brilliant performances this term.

The Super Eagles strongman has been in superb form this term at Napoli scoring netting goals and he is also being linked with a summer move to the Premier League.

Clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United are reported as the two sides who are seriously looking for the signature of Osimhen and they will go into bid battle at the end of the season.
