  • Folarin Balogun has been urged by American reporter Zach Lowy not to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria
  • The journalist explained that Balogun will not have the chance to play for Nigeria because of Victor Osimhen
  • Lowy also disclosed that Balogun would also find it hard to break into England's first team ahead of Harry Kane

American journalist Zach Lowy has stated emphatically that it will be great for Reims striker Folarin Balogun to snub playing for Nigeria and England to play for the United States.

Balogun who belongs to Premier League side Arsenal has been impressive this season in the Ligue 1 where he has scored 15 league goals for Reims.

There has been serious speculation about the national allegiance of Balogun with many Nigerians asking the NFF chiefs to go for him.

Balogun was born in America

The 21-year-old was born in New York and was moved to England by his parents when he was 2 which also gives him the chance to pick America or England.

According to the report on Msn, Lowy explained that Balogun should choose the United States claiming that he will surely get active playing time.

Statement made by Zach Lowy

“Folarin Balogun would be wise to choose the USA over England and Nigeria.
“It’s highly unlikely that he’s going to be overtaking Harry Kane or Victor Osimhen anytime soon and it’s clear that he’s a massive upgrade over any of the USMNT’s current options at centre forward.''
