Nigerian football fraternities were on Thursday evening, 2 March, thrown into wide jubilation after the Flying Eagles defeated Uganda 1-0 in the quarter-final of the 2022 Under 20 AFCON.
Going into this encounter, these two teams were aware of the importance of recording a win, but it was the Flying Eagles who got the victory even though it was a lucky one.
They have now qualified for the semi-final of the competition and also picked the ticket for the 2023 FIFA Under 20 World Cup which is massive.

Ibrahim Juma's own goal in the 30th minute was all the Flying Eagles of Nigeria needed to seal the win over Uganda.
