The song-themed ‘Osimhen’ is currently trending in Italy and the video has sent social media space agog, especially on TikTok.

After an injury-plagued debut season with Italian giants Napoli, the Nigerian international is now hugging the headlines with his sensational performances in Serie A.

The 24-year-old has as already netted 19 league goals in 20 appearances as the Partenopei look good to win the Scudetto this season.

The internet sensation is based in Naples and has continued to churn out comic content as he chooses to tell his story on the pages of XXISecolo and does so with his usual humour.

He shared his content on YouTube and Facebook to ensure his videos go viral as the neo-melodic singer adapted to the most diverse songs, 21Secolo reports.

Alex really manages to give away, smiling for free and he does it with the inspiration of a champion.

The Nigerian forward is already drawing comparisons with legendary Argentine Diego Maradona who led Napoli to their last Serie A title in 1990.

Sports Brief earlier reported that an Italian pastry chef, Salvatore Mellone has taken the love for the Nigerian to another level by baking a cake to look like the head of the player.

The cake, glazed with brown icing, has hazelnuts spread on the top to emulate Osimhen's dyed hair and also has a replica of his protective mask placed on the front.

Mellone presented the cake to the former Lille striker as he was reporting for training at the club's facilities.
