The Old Trafford dwellers are also outside favourites for the Premier League title, with eight points separating them and leaders, Arsenal.
Pep mocks Man United
Despite United's recent success, Guardiola has still found a way to mock City's archrivals.
When asked if he considers the Red Devils as challengers for more trophies, the Spaniard joked:
"If they spend a little more money, yes, because they didn’t spend, isn’t it?" he said via Metro UK.
"They’re in the position they normally should be."
United will be looking to seal a spot in the next round of the FA Cup when they play West Ham United on Wednesday night.
