- West Ham fans brutally mocked Jesse Lingard at the London Stadium on Saturday
- The fans have not forgotten how Lingard made an about-turn and decided to join Nottingham instead
- To make matters worse, Nottingham Forest were thrashed 4-0 courtesy of Danny Ings' masterclass
Jesse Lingard was treated to a hostile reception upon his return to London Stadium. Lingard was part of the Nottingham Forest squad that played West Ham United on February 25th.
It was a brutal outing for Lingard, whose side ended up getting thrashed 4-0, coupled with the abuse he got from the home support.
West Ham fans made it clear that they are yet to forgive Lingard, who snubbed them at the last minute, to move to Forest at the start of the season.
The former Manchester United player enjoyed a successful six-month loan spell under David Moyes in 2021. He scored twice on his debut against Aston Villa. He ended up getting nine goals and four assists during his time in London.

Why do West Ham fans hate Lingard?
The Hammers wanted to make the deal permanent, but then-United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is believed to have stalled the deal, wanting Lingard back at Old Trafford.
The England international was frustrated due to lack of game time and ran down his contract. West Ham were believed to be the frontrunner for his signature, but Forest swooped in with a better payday as they sought to build a team that could stay in the Premier League.
It is this experience that West Ham fans have refused to slide. As Sport Bible reports, Lingard was treated to chants of:
"Lingard is a (expletive) everywhere he goes."
The 30-year-old came off the bench for Steve Cooper's side, who were at that time trailing 2-0.
