While many have settled on Argentine genius Lionel Messi as the GOAT following his World Cup triumph, a cross-section of fans throw a spanner in their argument with Pele's three World Cup victories, according to Bleacher Report.

Others even rate Messi's late compatriot Diego Maradona as the finest to have ever kicked a ball, and it appears Pulis tows a similar line.

"No, I've spoken to people about this," he said via SportBIBLE when asked if Messi was the greatest ever.
The ex-Stoke boss continued: "I'm a [19]50s baby, so you know, I can remember Pele, [Diego] Maradona.

Despite rejecting Messi as GOAT, he believes the 35-year-old PSG superstar is still a genius and called him the greatest of his time alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

"Then I'd go Messi, [Cristiano] Ronaldo, they would be four standout, and then you've got, you know, again, it's great players of their time."

Ramos settles GOAT debate

In a separate report, Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos has become the latest footballer to delve into the Cristiano Ronaldo vs Lionel Messi debate.

The argument on who between the two football stars is the greatest of all time has often left many football lovers divided.

Ramos has now admitted that the Argentina phenomenon is "the best player football has ever produced," per SportsBIBLE.

Messi's next destination leaked

Sports Brief reported that Sergio Aguero has accidentally leaked the next club Lionel Messi will play after he let slip their private conversation.

Messi’s current deal with Paris Saint-Germain runs out at the end of the season, but the Ligue 1 leaders have apparently failed to persuade him to pen a new deal.

Per Forbes, the 2022 World Cup winner is keen on leaving the French champions with an overload of options on stand-by to secure his services.
