Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has opened up on his dinner meeting with Sir Alex Ferguson hours ahead of the Red Devils' Europa League clash against Barcelona.
United are scheduled to host the La Liga giants for the second leg of their knockout fixture at Old Trafford on Thursday night, February 23.
Manchester Evening News reports that the two teams played out a 2-2 thrilling draw in the reverse tie played at Camp Nou, and a win for either side will guarantee them a spot in the next round of the competition.
The Thursday meeting comes at a time both teams are enjoying a fine run of form, with Barcelona currently topping the charts in the Spanish top flight with 59 points.

Ten Hag and Ferguson were spotted dining together hours before the Europa League cracker, with the meeting leaving fans guessing what the two discussed.
The United boss has now offered insights into his meeting with the legendary Premier League boss.
Speaking during a press briefing, the Dutchman hinted he had gone for some advice from Fergie ahead of the Thursday showdown.
“It's massive. I always enjoy speaking with people who have a lot of knowledge, a lot of experience and he wants to share it, he wants to help and support," Ten Hag said via Mirror UK.
