Nigerian sports reporter Mathew Edafe has urged those in charge of Italian Serie A side, Napoli, to sign Bendel Insurance striker Imade Osarenkho whenever they want to sell Osimhen.

Osimhen has been in fantastic form for Napoli this season in all competitions with the Nigerian already registering 18 goals in the Serie A and has been tipped to finish as the highest goalscorer.

According to what Edafe posted on his Twitter page, he explained that Napoli can actually get Imade at a cheaper rate as replacement for Osimhen.

Statement made by Edafe

''Hello Napoli, before you sell our next African footballer of the year, Osimhen, come and sign the black bullet Imade for your team. You will thank me later, I am doing free scouting for you. Remember when I told you Osimhen would win you the league?.''

In nine games played so far this season for Insurance, Imade has scored six goals for the NPFL group A leaders.

Chelsea, Atletico Madrid chase Osimhen

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how top European clubs including English Premier League club Chelsea and La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid are said to be monitoring Victor Osimhen’s situation.

Osimhen grabbed his 18th league goal of the season when he scored a stunner against Sassuolo over the weekend.

The Nigerian international joined Napoli in the summer of 2020 and he has grown to become an integral part of the squad under Luciano Spalletti.

He has now netted his 100th career goal as he is one of the reasons the Parthenopeans are on course to win their first league title in over three decades.
