According to Dortmund's post on Twitter, it is apparent that fufu - an African food - is the secret to how their star player overpower the Blues' major signing.

As things stand now, Adeyemi and his teammates take a one-goal lead to Stamford Bridge where they face Chelsea in the second leg of their UCL round of 16 tie.

What is Adeyemi's favourite - fufu?

Fufu is a swallow or dough-like food found in West African cuisine. It is consumed in Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia, Cote D'Ivoire, Benin, Togo, and Cameroon.

The food is made from boiled starchy plants such as yams or cassava, which are pounded with a mortar and pestle into a sticky dough.

Adeyemi spotted eating Fufu

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Adeyemi eating fufu after the game against Chelsea, following his exploits for Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League.

The German-born Nigerian disclosed the popular African food has been the secret to his pace and claimed it was the reason for his pace on the field.

Adeyemi netted the only goal of the encounter as the German giants defeated the English titans in the first leg of their round of 16 clash.
