Barcelona are set to face investigations over the transfer of Marcos Alonso after the deal for the Spanish defender was reported to FIFA as fraudulent.
Spanish second-division club Union Adarve believes they have been short-changed by the Catalan giants after they failed to remit €103K from the defender’s deal as part of their formation rights.
According to Sportskeeda, Union Adarve claim that they have information to verify that the two clubs held talks for the left-back, and it was not a free transfer as initially stated by Barcelona.

The Segunda Division club also believes that Chelsea did not terminate the Spaniard's contract, but rather that it was combined with the arrival of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at Stamford Bridge.
Barcelona are already in discussions to renew Alonso's contract, as he joined the La Liga leaders on a one-year deal after leaving Chelsea last summer.

Meanwhile, Marcos Alonso has returned to training with Barcelona after staying away from the Catalan team to mourn the passing of his father, Football Espana reports.
Marcos Alonso Pena played for Barcelona from 1982 to 1987 and won La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the Spanish Supercup, and two league cups during his time at the club.
Alonso was included in Xavi’s team that played Villareal last weekend as the Catalan giants secured a slim 1-0 victory to keep their La Liga title hopes alive.
