Barcelona legend Gerard Pique has revealed that he has yet to congratulate Lionel Messi over his World Cup win with Argentina.
Messi finally won the trophy that had alluded him in his international playing career after leading La Albiceleste to win 2022 World Cup in Qatar .
The 35-year-old was adjudged the best player at the Mundial after Argentina’s thrilling triumph win over 2018 champions France.
Pique played alongside Messi at the Camp Nou for over a decade, but their relationship has reportedly deteriorated following the dribbling magician's move to Paris Saint-Germain.

And speaking to John Nellis on YouTube, Pique was asked whether he had congratulated former Barcelona teammate Leo Messi on his World Cup win.
He replied, via Marca: "No, honestly no. I have had a difficult couple of months and I needed to disconnect from everything. I haven't watched any sports, not even the World Cup, only the final. And even then, not the full match."

Meanwhile, ex-Barcelona star Pique praised Ronaldo for his work ethic but admitted Messi was the best.
He added that the Argentine winning the 2022 World Cup at 35 further proved his talent.
