Football"My Favourite Al Ahly Coach of the Last 10 Years:" Fan Gives Pitso Mosimane High Praise
- South Africa's most successful football coach Pitso Mosimane's stay at Al Ahly SC was a dramatic one
- Despite hauling in silverware like an 1800s gold rush, he never pleased everyone connected to the club
- Despite this, many fans continue to show him love after he left the Cairo-based club last June
A grateful Al Ahly SC supporter has gone on social media to shower former coach, Pitso Mosimane with the highest of praise.
The South African mentor was a divisive figure at the helm of the senior team despite bringing in trophies almost for fun for the Cairo-based club.
The toxicity played a part in Mosimane's departure last June, but he stoically refused to admit this.
He continues to be a subject of reverence and criticism in equal measure as he attempts to take Al Ahli into the top flight of Saudi Arabian football.

"I must thank one of the history makers [at] Al-Ahly. I must thank my beloved and my [favourite] coach for the last 10 years [at] Al-Ahly, and the most happy coach after the departure of Manuel Jose, and the Al-Ahly fan, Pitso [Mosimane]..."
Mosimane graciously responded:
"Let’s support all our players and continue to give them confidence, time and love. They will take us to the promised land. In football, nothing or nobody is perfect. God has something for us and let’s keep praying, working hard and support the team."

The fallout over Sibusiso Vilakazi's sudden departure from TS Galaxy is still being felt, Sports Brief reported.

"Mosimane left because of pressure"
It just never ends when it comes to Mosimane and his former club, Al Ahly SC in Egypt, Sports Brief also reported.
The South African, who resigned suddenly from the head coaching job last June, was hounded out of the job even with a section of the fanbase behind him.
The latest furore was sparked by a comment made by a legend of the club, Hossam Ghaly, who is now part of the technical team.
Mosimane lambasted by fans
Imagine losing a match as a coach for the first time in four months since taking over and some already demanding your head.
Pitso Mosimane is one such person, having to deal with a minor but loudly irate section of the Al Ahli Saudi fanbase.
They were thumped 4-1 by Al Akhdoud in a Saudi First Division League match, which saw the South African apologise for the embarrassing loss.
