January Chelsea signing Mykhailo Mudryk has left fans confused after he appeared to like an Instagram post criticising his teammate Marc Cucurella after their 1-1 disappointing draw against West Ham.

According to Metro UK, Mudryk and Cucurella endured a frustrating outing as they failed to make an impact in the match.

The publication reports that Mudryk was clearly frustrated with Cucurella for not involving him as much during the clash.

At one point, Cucurella decided to play a simple pass to Enzo Fernandez, overlooking Mudryk who was in a better position to launch an attack - much to the disappointment of the Ukraine international.

Chelsea fans were quick to pick the incident, with one meme suggesting Cucurella blanked Mudryk in favour of his other Chelsea teammates.

The meme was posted on Instagram and Mudryk appeared to 'like' the post.

Marc Cucurella's struggles

Cucurella's struggles during the match saw him subbed off in the 67th minute, with Ben Chilwell introduced in his place.

Mudryk suffered a similar fate as he was withdrawn in favour of Hakim Ziyech.

Meanwhile, the Mudryk-Cucurella social media incident comes just days after Chelsea owner Todd Boehly 'liked' a post claiming the former Brighton defender is not good enough for Chelsea.

The article was shared on social media by Football.London last Thursday, with Boehly's Twitter account favouriting it.

Terry warns Potter

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Chelsea legend John Terry has sent Graham Potter a cautionary note amid the Blues' ongoing struggles.

The west Londoners have struggled form under Potter since his arrival from Brighton back in September 2022.

The 2021 Champions League winners have managed just six points since the turn of the year, with three of their most recent fixtures ending in draws.
