The Gunners, who are runaway league leaders this season, were heavy favourites for the encounter and deservedly took the lead after Trossard struck at the back post a mere four minutes after coming off the bench.

Arteta questions referees after Brentford draw
Sports Brief also reported on how Mikel Arteta was left frustrated by some refereeing decisions during the draw against Brentford.
The Gunners had initially taken the lead after Leandro Trossard scored his first goal for the club, but they were pegged back a couple of minutes later through Ivan Toney.
Replays appeared to show Ethan Pinnock, Brentford’s centre back in an offside position as he was blocking Arsenal’s Gabriel when a free kick was floated into the Arsenal penalty area.
Speaking after the game, Arteta claimed he watched the footage back and it looked like a clear offside.
