Former Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel has been spotted stepping out in his expensive G Wagon leaving many Nigerian fans gushing on the social media with his appearance.

The former Chelsea midfielder has retired from football, but he is busy chilling around the world thanks to massive money he made while playing active soccer.

Apart from the cash he made while playing, Mikel is also into many businesses in Nigeria and abroad that is bringing him credit alerts into his bank accounts.

According to a video spotted on TikTok, the Nigerian legend was seen wearing a black suit and putting a call to someone while entering into his G Wagon in style.

How it started for Mikel

Mikel started his football career on the streets in Jos, Plateau State, before moving to Plateau United from where he moved to Europe joining Lyn.

The Nigerian had a successful career at Chelsea winning everything available in English football and even the Champions League and Europa League.

In the national team, Mikel featured in 91 games for Nigeria scoring six goals before he hanged his international boots in 2019.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how former Nigerian international Mikel Obi disclosed that he is one of the luckiest Nigerians to play football at the very top.

The former Chelsea of England defensive midfielder shared his journey to stardom with some youths who converged at Wave Beach in Lagos during the Vyootopia Mission89 Africa digital sports conference 2022.

Mikel, who had 91 caps and six goals for the Super Eagles, was the 'personality spotlight' at the well-attended event, themed - 'Adopting new technologies in digital sports and increasing opportunities for African youth in the sports industry'.

The 35-year-old also offered tips for a successful footballing career, as he admitted that he was one of the luckiest Nigerians to have played football at the highest level.
