Liverpool was within minutes from winning a second Premier League title under Jürgen Klopp last season but were denied by a late comeback from Manchester City, who beat Aston Villa 3-2.

Man City are five points behind Arsenal in the title race while Liverpool is in a distant 10th on the league table, 11 points away from Newcastle United who are fourth on the table.

Klopp seems not to be finding answers to the current problem and has instead resulted in complaints, excuses and attacks on journalists at press conferences.

As noted by Guardian, the German has a trend of losing it in his seventh season at a club, having previously experienced the same at Bundesliga clubs Mainz 05 and Borussia Dortmund, though he has downplayed it.

English commentator Richard Keys has ripped into the German, claiming it's his responsibility that the club are in that situation, and he predicted he will walk out on the club soon, he said in an interview quoted by Daily Mail.

My guess is Klopp will walk. Not now - but if they're knocked out of the Champions League by Real Madrid I think he'll be gone before the start of next season. Liverpool are way off. A shadow of what they once were - and it's no good blaming FSG. The downfall is Klopp's responsibility, he said.

Jurgen Klopp's crop of misdemeanours continued at the weekend after he claimed Wolves' third goal did not count to him, a comment which sparked a reaction from the club.
