In an explosive rant, the veteran's sibling suggested 'no one knew' about the Catalan club before his brother played there.

Matias added that in the event that the current PSG star and his family did return, they would campaign for the immediate exit of Barcelona president, Joan Laporta.
Aside from his swipe at Laporta, Matias further claimed his brother had made Barcelona relevant in the modern era.
"For me, Barcelona became known thanks to Messi. Nobody knew about them before," Matias said in a live Twitch stream, as quoted by ESPNFC.
